Mini Steps accepts IDHS childcare assistance through the YWCA and Action for Children. We also accept DCFS payments for children that are in foster care. If you would like to know the qualifications for these programs the contact information is listed below. If you are interested in our school, once you have contacted the agency for your county and received their paperwork, you can contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you.

GRANT PROGRAMS
The Illinois State Board of Education funds Mini Steps for a Pre-K at Risk Program and a Preschool for All Program for 3 and 4 year olds. If your child qualifies for these programs, you will be eligible for a free 3-hour preschool program 5 days per week. If the family needs additional hours, the family can pay for the other portion of the day or apply for assistance from the above agencies.
